The district of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz is relying on organic waste bins with "System BIOLOGIC" biofilter lids for the comprehensive organic waste bins to be introduced in 2026. Around 30,000 organic waste bins with filter lids will be installed in the district in spring 2026, replacing the few thousand voluntary organic waste bins currently in place. The existing organic waste bins are currently still emptied weekly. The organic filter lid will switch to a more climate-friendly emptying every 14 days.
